Before they are launched to market, the safe contact of our products with food is tested by accredited institutes, such as the German safety standards authority or TÜV and the state health authority or LGA, etc., according to the German Food, Commodity and Feed Act (Lebensmittel-, Bedarfsgegenstände- und Futtermittelgesetzbuch).
This also includes a risk assessment being made in accordance with REACH, the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals. This is a European Union chemicals regulation. During this risk assessment our articles are tested for dangerous substances and substances of high concern which pose a danger to health.
We have also set up our own quality assurance system which is coordinated by our offices in Shanghai. Our own inspectors check each delivery of goodsbefore it is shipped.
In addition, incoming goods are inspected as they arrive at our warehouse – not just with regard to quantity but also to quality.
WHAT DOES BSCI MEAN?
BSCI is short for Business Social Compliance Initiative. This is an amalgamation of various companies which share the following objectives:
- To improve social standards in supply countries as part of a company's social responsibility in a globalised economy.
- To create a practicable, internationally applicable monitoring system that helps suppliers to adhere to these social standards.
- To act as an interface between companies, workforce representatives, non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and other groups in civil society.
- The BSCI sees itself as part of the international effort to improve social conditions long term in the worldwide supply chain.

The IVSH is the federation of the manufacturers of high-grade consumer goods: kitchen and household, well laid table, instruments for personal hygiene, hobby and leisure time articles, commercial necessaries for industry, handicraft and medical profession.
The representation
The IVSH, as a national association, represents the interests of German companies and associated members. Also for a labour- and thus cost-intensive industry operating on markets full of chances but full of risks too. An industry which has to discern or even better to foresee new developments in offers and demands.
ISO CERTIFICATION FOR ELO
The traditional cookware company ELO from the Palatinate in Germany was recently granted its ISO 9001 certification by TÜV Rheinland. The kitchenware specialists for pots, pans and other utensils are now all set to step up their quality offensive.
